Frequently Asked Questions:

My goal is to only do what your cat allows me to do safely. I haven't had a cat that I could not bathe. Most times, the cats who have never been groomed before are scared of the clippers or the blow dryer and these are things that take time to get them accustomed to. Some cats absolutely hate being shaved so if your cat has never been shaved before, I would not recommend booking a lion cut for a first time appointment. I don't want to stress your cat to the point that they begin to hate grooming. The goal is to get them comfortable with the grooming that is required to maintain their health. If your cat reacts negatively, I will contact you during the appointment and discuss changing the grooming plan or getting some medication from your vet to help them feel more comfortable so we can do what is necessary.

I do not groom dogs. I get asked this question a lot though so I added it on here. I want my primary goal to be keeping this business cat exclusive to promote a specialized and peaceful environment for the cats coming here.

I am sorry, but... no dogs allowed!

Yes! This is actually something everyone should ask every potential groomer. I have a home based business license, local animal establishment permit and a department of agriculture kennel license (both inspections were completed and passed) I also am an NCGI trained cat groomer which allows me safer handling of cats. I also have full coverage liability insurance that covers your cat while it's in my care. I do require all cats to have a current Rabies vaccination or a vet letter stating a medical exemption.

When a cat grooms itself, they are essentially spreading saliva all over their body. This will remove some of the surface oils that naturally build up in their fur and will often times make them look clean temporarily but, in time, and as their seasonal coat changes and shedding begins, the fur will cling together and look feathery and clumping together. When this starts to happen, the process of shedding becomes difficult because the dirty fur cannot fall away as it should, they will develop tangles in their fur. This can quickly become a big issue if not addressed before large mats form in their coat. It is recommended, in order to prevent a cat from matting, to bathe them when their fur begins to feel waxy or when you see it separating into clumps. This time frame varies depending on the breed, age and individual needs of your cat but can range anywhere from monthly to every 4 months.

All About The Cats!

Grooming a cat requires specialty training

My name is Kendra and I am a cat person and have been since childhood...

A year ago I started my journey to become a CFMG (Certified Feline Master Groomer) through the National Cat Groomers Institute. As a member of this institution, I have traveled all over the country this year for professional training from several of the best cat groomers in the world (NCGI Certified Feline Master Groomers) I have completed over 65 hours of hands-on instruction in this education process to ensure I am capable and experienced to provide the highest quality care and knowledge regarding health, safety and breed specific grooming needs for all cats. CFMG's are an elite few, offering top-tier professional grooming for all types of cats. There are currently only 445 CFMG's in the world!

Before pursuing this goal, I had over 10 years of experience caring for my own Persian cats and later decided to foster for a rescue that specialized in rehoming pure bred cats. I adopted 2 and decided to start taking them to cat shows which is where I learned about NCGI and  opened the door for me to start this business where I can offer my skilled expertise to all cats in my area.

Everyone wants a clean cat to snuggle right? How about less fur floating around the house and less hairballs being puked on your floors? Some cats can be challenging to groom at home, plus without experience in handling cats, proper safety precautions, plus the lack of necessary grooming tools and knowing what products are safe to use on cats, it can be overwhelming. I offer services that are catered specifically to cats of all breeds and backgrounds. My grooming space feels safe like home. Cats are sensitive creatures who seek comfort and familiarity so I strive to make every cat feel safe and calm, creating a caring routine catered to their specific needs while here.

I am currently in the final stages of my Feline Master Groomer Certification and I have passed 10 of the 12 required exams so far. I am actively working towards the mastery level in my grooming so I can provide top-notch feline exclusive services in Northwest Georgia.

I have been showing my own cats to help bring my grooming quality to a higher level and this past year, my red and white Persian (Ronald Weasley) received the title Grand Premier and my Seal Lynx Point Himalayan (Jolene) is now a Grand Household pet and Regional Winner for the 2024/25 season with CFA!
